Opel GT 1969

The Opel GT debuted as a styling exercice in 1965 at the Paris and Frankfurt motor shows. As the concept was well accepted, Opel decided to make a production of this sports car between 1968 and 1973. The Opel stylist Erhard Schnell design and developed a fastback bodywork, where one of the most relevant features was the pop-up and down headlights.

In the assembly line it gained the nickname 'Brigitte'. The sexy lines made ir earn the comparasion with Brigitte Bardot, a beauty icon ate the time.
